Machame route is trail which approaches Kilimanjaro through forest and moorland from the south-west, and joins the Shira route before traversing beneath the southern ice fields of Kibo. At the commence of this route is rainforest where you can experience wildlife like baboons .Once you are at the second camp Shira Camp early in morning if no clouds you will get good view of Mount Meru the second highest mountain in Tanzania. The nine day itinerary gives maximum possible acclimatization, and gives climbers enough time to experience the magnificent scenery of Kilimanajaro Mountain.
Machame route show the real scenic of Kilimanajo mountain and the accommodation means is camping where mattress and camping materials are important to this route.

Tour Plan
DAY 1. ARRIVAL.
International Airport (JRO) on arrival in Tanzania, you will be met by one of our company representative who will welcome you and who will transfer you from the airport to Arusha town. You will spend the night in this busy tourist town. Where will get short briefing from our representative at hotel and leave you to relax for while and have dinner and overnight stay at Venice Hotel or similar.
Meal plan: Bed & Breakfast.
DAY 2: ARUSHA - MACHME GATE - MACHAME CAMP.
After breakfast at hotel in Arusha City in morning you will get pick up and being driven to Machame gate for 3hours with porters and guides.After reaching at the gate you will start registration with your guide while porters organizing cargoes. After finishing the registration and lunch, we will commence hiking through the rainforest which will take you 5 to 6 hours. After being at Machame Hut, you will sign your name in the camp tracking book and spend the night in nature.

DAY 3: MACHAME HUT - SHIRA CAMP.
Starting to climb from Shira plateau, our first walk will be a bit steep and the naked heathens at this altitude provide little shade from the heat. The path after lunchtime will be dusty so using gaiters will be a good choice. In spite of all the difficulties this route may bring, by taking it slowly, resting frequently and wholeheartedly enjoying en-route views that encompass Kibo Meru and all points down the foothills of the mountain. The route later will turn west onto a deep river gorge until we arrive at Shira One campsite.

DAY 4: SHIRA CAMP - BARRANCO CAMP.
After your breakfast in the morning you will start to hike to the west of the Southern slopes of Kibo through the dry terrain of the Shira Plateau. The hike will cover 10.75km.Which will take you to the fabulous Barranco Valley.147m gain might surprise you, you end your day at the almost same elevation as when you started, this day is very important for acclimatization.

DAY 5: BARRANCO CAMP - BARAFU CAMP.
After your breakfast in morning you will proceed with hiking by climbing the biggest rock Wall we call it (Jiwe la Kubusu) in Swahili language which means Kissing stone, that you need to kiss that rock wall in order to hike it and gaining 220m. Your hike w will pass across the ridges and valleys to Karanga Upper Camp at 4034m. On reaching Karanga Camp, we will have a hot lunch and optional an acclimatization trek up the scree slopes towards the Southern ice fields. This will increase our chances of reaching the top of Africa Uhuru Peak. You will camp and overnight at Barafu Camp.

DAY 6: BARAFU CAMP - UHURU PEAK - MWEKA HUT.
At midnight to 2 am,you will start hike for summit, between the Rebmann and Ratzel glaciers. You head into northwesterly direction and ascend through heavy scree towards Stella Point on the crater rim. This is the most mental and physical challenging portion of hike.
At Stella Point, you will stop for a rest in minutes and the reward will be one of the most magnificent sunrises you have ever seen in your life. Faster climbers may view the sunrise from the summit. From Stella Point, you may encounter snow all the way on your hike to the summit. Once at Uhuru Peak at 5895m, you reach the top of Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world and the peak of Africa. Afetr summiting at Uhuru peak you will enjoy by taking amazing photos on this highest peak .As soon as from Uhuru peak, we begin our descent by proceeding down to Barafu Camp where we will have maximum 1 hour to rest.Then you will resume with trek down to Millenium Camp at 3827m where we will camp and overnight.

DAY 7: MWEKA HUT - MWEKA GATE - ARUSHA.
After breakfast early in the morning you will proceed trekking down through the dusty path into the beautiful rainforest that will take us to Mweka Gate. The walk today will take you 5 to 6 hours. At the gate, You will have a picnic lunch, songs from your team and certificate presentation before driving to your hotel in Arusha.
