Tour Plan

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport – Meet and greet and be transferred to your booked hotel

On arrival at Entebbe international airport, you will be warmly met by a company representative with your professional English-speaking safari guide for a meet and greet, and then be transferred to your booked hotel in Entebbe town to check-in, freshen up, and later meet with our company representative and safari guide at the hotel reception for a briefing.

If time allows, you will take a tour to Entebbe Botanical Gardens to explore Uganda’s beauty while encountering several birds and monkey species.

Day 2: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable national park- Batwa Pygmy Experience

Have breakfast and drive to Entebbe airport to catch up with your flight to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park in Southwestern Uganda. This route is interesting because you will get to enjoy an aerial view of countryside scenery with some of the most beautiful landscapes ranging from plantations, hills, all the way to the Virunga massive. Just keep your cameras near you, so that you can capture that beautiful moment. You will arrive at the park early, check in your booked lodge, have lunch and later go for an exciting Batwa experience, giving you an opportunity to learn about the traditional forest life of the Batwa in Bwindi Forest which is historically the home of the Batwa, you will also enjoy the traditional dances of the Batwa and Stone Age including making traditional fire among others

Day 3: Mountain gorilla trekking – Drive to Ishasha Sector Queen Elizabeth

Today after having your heavy breakfast, drive to the park information offices for briefing about the dos and don’ts to follow during gorilla trekking and later start your guided forest walk by a ranger guide to search for the giant endangered mountain gorillas. During your walk, you many encounter other wildlife species besides Gorillas such as chimpanzees, black and white colombus monkeys, vervet monkeys, bush pigs, forest elephants, many bird species, butterflies and many others. The time taken while looking for mountain gorillas depends on the location and movements of the allocated gorilla family. You will spend a maximum of 1 hour to watch them, take photos, follow their moves and ask your ranger as many questions as possible. Return to the starting point to pick your tracking certificate. Later drive to Ishasha Sector for an exciting evening game drive in search for tree-climbing lions and other wildlife species such as buffaloes, hippos, elephants, antelopes, warthogs among others.

Day 4: Ishasha Morning Game Drive – Boat Cruise in the Northern Sector

After breakfast, drive to the park for another rewarding morning game drive to observe the tree-climbing lions in case you missed them a day before and other wildlife. Later drive to the northern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park to catch up with an exciting afternoon boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. You will spot several aquatic wildlife including hippos and Nile crocks as well as bird species.

Day 5: Kasenyi Morning Game Drive- Transfer to Kibale- Bigodi Swamp walk & Community tour

After early morning breakfast, drive to Kasenyi sector for a rewarding game drive in search for leopards in trees protecting their catch, lots of Uganda kobs and waterbucks grazing, large herds of buffalos in many areas of the park, herds of elephants and warthogs. As you set out for the game drive in the morning, the sunrise is also very colorful to capture very stunning views of the sundowner. Later drive to Kibale forest national park, check-in at your booked lodge, have lunch, relax and later go for Bigodi swamp walk and community tour to see several primates, birds, and also experience the local culture in several activities.

Day 6: Chimpanzee tracking - Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park- Night Game Drive

Wake up very in the morning for breakfast and drive to the park information offices of Kanyanchu for the pre-chimpanzee trekking briefing by the UWA ranger about what to do and not during chimpanzee trekking safari, what to expect during the forest walk and how to behave once you have encountered the chimpanzee. After briefing, you will be grouped into a small group of people and be assigned a ranger and a chimpanzee family to track and later start your forest walk to the search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. During your tour you will have a chance of seeing other primates such as Red Colobus Monkey, Vervet Monkeys, Grey-cheeked Mangabey, L'Hoest Monkey, and many forest bird species. After the chimpanzee and other primate species, return to the visitor information center to get your certificate, have some refreshments and then drive to Lake Mburo national park, check-in at your booked lodge, relax and enjoy the sounds of the wilderness as you enjoy night game drive.

Day 7: Walking safari – Transfer Entebbe Airport

Have breakfast and head to the park for an amazing walking safari to get close to the wildlife. Nature walks are a magical way to experience the bush. They allow you to notice smaller details often overlooked when in a car or riding a horse. Retire and head to Entebbe international airport to catch up with flight back home with lots of experience.
